Jennifer is currently the Chair person of the Australian Society of Dermal Clinicians, as well as previously held positions as the Chair in 2018-2019, 2013-2015, and in the Governance and Education portfolios 2015-2017.
Jennifer is a lecturer and the clinical coordinator for the Dermal Science and Therapy Discipline for the College of Health & Biomedicine at Victoria University (Melbourne).
This role involves liaising with industry to develop opportunities and recognition for Dermal Clinicians working with clients in skin health, integrity and management within health care, including plastics and community health care.
Jennifer’s teaching and research interest areas focus on the clinical and an interdisciplinary approach to Dermal Therapy. Expertise and specialisation includes clinical governance, standardising practice, Skin integrity and health, wound/scar and oedema management associated with ageing, chronic health problems and disease. Jennifer has also been a guest presenter at various conferences and symposiums advocating for skin health and integration of dermal clinicians in to multidisciplinary client centered teams, particularly in the areas of chronic disease management.
Jennifer also undertakes consultancy work in the areas of education and benchmarking, working with TEQSA as an expert advisor since 2016 in the review and accreditation of dermal therapy and cosmetic medicine/dermatology programs.
